Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp peppermint extract (or mint extract)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Green food coloring (optional, to desired tint)
- ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line a loaf pan or an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment or wax paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to make it easier to lift the fudge out after it has set.
- Melt the Base: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and green food coloring (if using). Mix well to evenly incorporate the flavors and color.
- Mix in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips into the fudge mixture to distribute them evenly without breaking the chips.
- Transfer and Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm and set.
- Slice and Serve: Once fully set, use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into 24 squares and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use good quality white chocolate for best flavor and texture.
- Adjust peppermint extract quantity to suit your taste preference.
- Green food coloring is optional and purely for visual effect to enhance the mint theme.
- Leave the fudge at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for a softer texture.
- Store fudge refrigerated and consume within a week for best freshness.
